Today’s prompt (which you can read here) was to write a poem that poses a series of questions.
So here is my poem – it’s a bit daft but I was at work today so it was written in a mad dash!
Questions you always forget the answer to
Can you go at 60 or 70 on a dual carriageway?
Is it grass that makes straw, and wheat that makes hay?
Do you do two loops or three for a triple crochet stitch?
Is life a bowl of cherries or just an utter bitch?
Does the blackbird really sing in the dead of night?
Is it stoats or is it weasels that turn winter-white?
Should you pull out a tick? Or douse it with whisky?
Can you eat reheated rice, or is it too risky?
And what was the name
of that bloke
in that sitcom
about the bookshop –
ooh you know –
he was in the Bill
wasn’t he,
once,
and in Casualty,
and then he was surprisingly good
in that Channel 4 drama
that made his career?
And remind me, how do you spell diahoa…dioah…diarrhoea?
